Brother (2022)

We protect those we love

It was very difficult for me to draw this work. And not only because this is my first illustration in more than 8 years, but because for me it is full of pain and sorrow.
.
Children should not have such a childhood in the 21st century. Children who are forced to grow up beyond their age.
The summer of 2022 passed for them in bomb shelters, under the howl of sirens, among shelling and bombing, under rubble and destruction.
.
Many were left without parents, brothers or sisters.
Some will never become adults... Will not meet the next summer...
The war in Ukraine has brought many deaths and continues to wreak havoc on people's lives.
So far, about 1,000 children are known to have suffered and more than 350 died due to this monstrous war.
